Apple Sues Mac Clone Maker Psystar

Apple Inc. has sued Psystar Corp., the computer maker that in April started selling Intel-based systems with Mac OS X pre-installed, for copyright and software licensing violations, according to court records and a Florida attorney.

The end-user licensing agreement, or EULA, for Mac OS X expressly forbids users from installing the operating system on hardware not sold by Apple. “You agree not to install, use or run the Apple software on any non-Apple-labeled computer, or to enable others to do so,” Apple’s EULA reads (download PDF).
So…We went to the Boylston Street Apple Store in Boston, filmed an episode.

At the time of taping, we were unaware of Jirbo Inc’s deceptive naming practices. According to Gizmodo, a loophole in naming on the iTunes App store is being exploited by Jirbo, when, if a space is put in front of the App Name, it shows up first on searches and in alphabetical lists.
